LPTV Displacement info on the way from the FCC; You can start looking at the potential now

The FCC says to expect a public notice that will outline the requirements and approximate timeline for the filing of applications for displaced LPTV, according to the Incentive Auction Closing and Channel Reassignment Public Notice, released 13 April 2017.

The FCC also says software developed for the auction to help identify available channels for LPTV stations will be released in a public notice at least 60 days before opening the special filing window for displaced LPTV and TV translator stations to file applications for a new channel.

The Media Bureau says it will release this public notice shortly after the end of the second window for applications for alternate channels/expanded facilities (for Full Power and Class A stations).
A Public Notice including the final channel assignments for all full-power and Class-A stations has been released, which means secondary stations can start analyzing potential displacement or alternative channel availability.
