LPTV stations should prepare to pay their Annual FCC Regulatory Fees in September.
The Code of Federal Regulations requires the FCC to “assess and collect” fees to recover the costs of “enforcement activities, policy and rulemaking activities, user information services, and international activities”.
Checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks are not accepted. The FCC says it is the responsibility of licensees to make sure that their electronic payments are made timely and the transaction is completed by the due date.
